Application System Programmer

We seek an Application Systems Programmer to support a multi-year contract for a local Federal Agency located in Arlington, Virginia. Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. area.

Responsibilities:

• Programming: Experience creating and/or modifying programs written in Transact-SQL, Active Server Pages (ASP), ASP for .NET (ASPX), Visual Basic 6.0, JavaScript, HTML, XML and MS-SQL DTS packages are required.
• Documentation: Creation and/or modification all documentation required by the agency’s systems development life cycle, as required.
• IIS Support: Provide installation and configuration support of web application with Microsoft Internet Information Server.
• Software Knowledge: Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager, MS .NET Framework, experience with DLL (Dynamic Link Libraries), and expertise with multi-tier web applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot potential application problems.
• 5+ years of programming experience.

Skills Desired:

• Experience with creating and/or modifying dimensions and cubes via MS SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Knowledge and experience developing Rational Unified Process (RUP) documentation.
• Experience generating test cases, scripts and execution of test cases.
• Business Intelligence, OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) reporting.
• Data Warehousing.
• Legal case management systems.
